Weiterentwicklung der fluorimetrischen bestimmung von Δ4-3-ketosteroids mit der lithiumhydroxid-reaktion für analysen im nanogrammbereich

Abstract Sensitivity of estimation of Δ 4 -3-ketosteroids by fluorimetric measurement of lithium hydroxide chromogens can be improved by using a rotating pellet holder constructed for the Aminco Bowman spectrofluorimeter. Furthermore, the pellet blanks can be estimated more exactly when the chromogen is destroyed by irradiation with ultraviolet light after measurement of the steroid fluorescence. With this technique testosterone, cortisol and progesterone can be estimated at a lowest level of 2 ng.
