Herpetological Surveys of Xizang Autonomous Region 2. Mêdog

In July and August of 2004, a program of herpetological survey at Tibetan Plateau was sponsored and started up by Shenyang Normal University and IUCN/SSC-China Reptile and Amphibian Specialist Group. The survey result was reported here by Medog Team which explored from Pai Town to sixty-two k. Totally two hundred and thirty nine amphibian and reptilian specimens representing nineteen species belonging to sixteen genera and eight families, and some tadpoles were collected, as well as the DNA tissue samples and many photographs. Among them, two species of the genus Amolops are new to science, diagnoses of them are given in this paper.
