Testing zirconia dinas bricks in arc furnaces

Throughout the campaign of 5 ton electric furnaces dinas zirconia brick in the arches stands up better than ordinary dinas. The residual length of dinas zirconia bricks ranges from 140 to 220 mm and that of dinas from 70 to 150 mm. Dinas zirconia wears by an average 1.5 times less than dinas bricks set in less exposed areas of the arch.
