Quantificao das populaes e subpopulaes de linfcitos em gestantes com pr-eclmpsia

ABSTRACT Purpose: to analyze the relationship of the imune systemwith preeclamptic pregnancies, comparing lymphocyte andlymphocyte subset analyses of normal pregnant women topregnancy-induced hypertensive women. To evaluate thisimmunological function, 40 pregnant women were studiedat the “Irmandade da Santa Casa Hospital” of Sao Paulo:20 women with normal pregnancies and 20 women withpregnancy-induced hypertension. From all these pregnantwomen peripheral blood samples were obtained andsubmitted to the following tests: lymphocyte and lymphocytesubsets analyses (CD 4 +, CD 8 +, CD 4 +/CD 8 +CD 3 +, CD 19 +).Statistical analysis was performed by the Mann-Whitneytest.
