Research progress on Paragonimus bangkokensis

It is more than 40 years since Paragonimus bangkokensis was found. During this period, researches were involved in morphology, ultrastructure, chromosome and molecular biology of eggs, metacariea and adult worms, species and distribution of the second intermediate host and definitive host. However, some blankness and problems are remained and worthy for further research. This paper summarizes the research progress on P. Bangkokensis about morphology and non-morphology, thus to provide some reference for further understanding of P. Bangkokensis. Key words: Paragonimus; Paragonimus bangkokensis; Morphology
