This study sets control and separation recovery of VOCS as the main study purposes. Doing actively research on control and separation recovery of Present VOCS, the toluene with which this research was also adsorbed by activated carbon using the characteristic of microwave was separated. When desorbing toluene using microwave, electric discharge generates activated carbon and microwave with the electric characteristic. When electric discharge occurs, the moment temperature of activated carbon comes to rise by 5,000~10,000℃ or more, and such a rapid temperature rise causes various problems, such as danger of explosion of toluene, and weakened durability of activated carbon. Then, in this study, electric discharge was suppressed using the silica stone anhydride which is the quality of an insulator about the surface of activated carbon, and the experiment about the adsorption and the desorption of toluene by the activated carbon of improvement was conducted.
