2 lubricants for below critical and 2 lubricants for above critical applications were selected from 10 potential CO 2 -lubricants by means of the 4 preliminary examinations. The properties of the 4 selected oils were determined. After that the oils were investigated by compressor tests. The thermic chemical stability in the CO 2 -circuit was rated.
