Incidence and distribution of "avian adenovirus group II splenomegaly of chickens".

1980
A nonlymphoproliferative hyperplastic spleen enlargement of broiler chickens was recently reported and found to be caused by an adenovirus indistinguishable from the causal agents of hemorrhagic enteritis (HE) of turkeys and marble spleen disease (MST) of pheasants (1). This paper reports the incidence and distribution of the infection in broiler-breeder chickens, as indicated by HE/MSD seroconversion (2).
