Open Access Repository: Enhancing Research in Cultural Organisations

A repository is a web-based archive for collecting, preserving and disseminating digital copies of the intellectual output of an institution. In its open access version, it provides free, immediate and permanent access to research results for anyone to use, download and distribute. The open access repository is being developed by the British Library in collaboration with the British Museum, MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology), National Museums Scotland and Tate.
