Surface Modification of Nano-TiO 2 Microspheres

Nano TiO2 particles, as white electrophoretic particles of electronic paper, have the advantages of high chemical stability and good optical performance. But their excessive density and surface hydrophilicity are not conducive to the uniform dispersion of the electrophoretic particles in the organic dispersion. Nano TiO2 particles are easy to aggregate and precipitate in the electrophoresis solution. In this paper, a variety of methods for surface modification of TiO2 particles were reviewed to reduce the density of nano TiO2 microspheres and increase their surface charge to obtain stable nano TiO2 microsphere electrophoretic suspension. The development prospect of electronic paper is discussed.
