A computer based method for classifying a mass of an organ as a cyst

The invention relates to a computer based method to characterize a mass of an organ such as a cyst and to provide a class that indicates the presence of a serum and solid in the cyst and a subclass that indicates the presence of one or more serous or solid loculi in the cyst. The invention finds advantageous applications for the diagnosis of ovarian cysts.
