The article analyzes the experience of professional development of teachers in the USA and Germany: the most common forms of individual and collective professional development. We characterize a number of innovative forms of professional development (cascade, situational, analytical, telesupervision, supervision, educational records, preparation of professional portfolio, management of teaching diary, summer schools of professional development, professional development programs) that are useful to study in Ukraine.
