Analysis FSS Absorber with Diversified Impedance for Broadband Applications

In this paper, a novel resistively loaded double hexagonal loops circuit analog (CA) absorber is design and implementation. Especially the outer loops and the inner loops adopt different resistance values, thus realize broadband and strong absorption. The simulated results show that the proposed absorber provides a −10 dB absorption bandwidth of 4.6-16.3 GHz and −15 dB absorption bandwidth of 5.5-14.7 GHz. The working principle of the proposed absorber is revealed by the transmission-line equivalent circuit model. Dual-template silk-screen printing production is utilized to realized printing different resistance. The experimental results show good agreement with this simulated result. This method improved the feasibility of the design, make the resistively loaded FSS absorber more competitive in engineering application
