A educação ambiental e a educação do campo diante das interferências do agronegócio: compreensões de professores de escolas públicas

O presente trabalho discute a Educacao Ambiental em realidades locais distintas que apresentam como particularidade sua relacao historica, politica, economica e cultural com o campo por meio da perspectiva de professores da educacao basica. Destacamos como os professores compreendem a insercao de instituicoes ligadas ao agronegocio na escola para desenvolvimento da EA e como atuam nesta condicao. Constatamos fragilidades na compreensao dos docentes sobre a EA e, sobretudo, como a insercao da ABAG na escola consolida uma visao sobre o campo e o ambiente com vies utilitarista e predatorio, enfraquecendo os processos de ensino e aprendizagem no que se relacionam ao desvelamento das reais condicoes socioambientais do campo. Environmental education and rural education in face of agribusiness interferences: understandings of public school teachers This paper discusses Environmental Education (EE) in three cities in the interior of Sao Paulo that have as their particularity their historical, political, economic and cultural relationship with the countryside. We conducted interviews with public school teachers to raise their understanding of EE and the insertion of the Brazilian Agribusiness Association (ABAG) in the school, through the “Agribusiness at School” Program. We found weaknesses in the teachers' understanding of EE and we verified how the insertion of ABAG consolidates a vision about the rural and the environment with a utilitarian and predatory bias, weakening the teaching and learning processes in relation to the unveiling of the real socio-environmental conditions of the countryside.
