A process for preparing benzoyloxybenzolsulfonaten

Described is a new method of preparing benzoyloxybenzenesulphonates from oxybenzenesulphonates and benzoic acid chlorides. The preparation is carried out in a solvent mixture consisting of water and an organic solvent chosen from the group comprising ethanol, isopropanol, dioxane and tetrahydrofuran. The inclusion of the organic solvent enables the end product to be isolated without difficulty and with a high degree of purity.
