Design of the Zero Point Weighted Series Feeding Microstrip Array Antenna

2014
The feeding network of the microstrip array antenna often can not meet the requirements accurately of the theory. In this paper, we use a series network to feed the radiating elements of the array antenna and set a zero point on a given direction. Comparing with the ordinary feeding array, it can effectively reduce the gain level of the certain side lope. A planar microstrip patch array antenna which works at 35.75GHz is designed. The simulation result shows that this antenna array has a gain of 22dB and a very low side lope at certain direction.
