User experience improvements in video on demand applications for set-top box devices

This paper presents one implementation of Video on Demand service on Android based set-top box. Regarding the requirements of the market based on high responsiveness, flow and modern look and feel of the graphical user interface, some optimizations were done to improve user experience.
