Synthesis and Further Rearrangements of 7-(2-Cycloalken-1-yl)-8-quinolinols.

The synthesis of 8-cycloalkyloxyquinolines (III), their sigmatropic rearrangement to 7-cycloalkylquinolols (IV) and acid-catalyzed cyclization reactions of these rearrangement products are described.
