The invention discloses a signal processing method for an accelerator pedal of a hybrid electric vehicle. The invention aims to solve the problem that the present signal processing method for the accelerator pedal is imperfect and cannot meet the demands of the hybrid electric vehicle on the accuracy and reliability of the accelerator pedal. The signal processing method comprises the following steps: I) performing the earlier stage processing on the signals of the accelerator pedal: performing the earlier stage processing on two paths of signals of the accelerator pedal, thereby obtaining the processed signals of the accelerator pedal and an identifier for representing an error condition of the signals of the accelerator pedal, wherein the earlier stage processing includes 1) the parallel processing for the two paths of signals of the accelerator pedal and 2) the synchronous check for the two paths of signals of the accelerator pedal, and II) performing the subsequent processing for the signals of the accelerator pedal and the processing for a fault diagnosis code: according to the identifier for representing the error condition of the signals of the accelerator pedal obtained in the step I), simultaneously performing the subsequent processing for the signals of the accelerator pedal and the processing for the fault diagnosis code, including the steps of 1) performing the subsequent processing for the signals of the accelerator pedal and 2) performing the processing for the fault diagnosis code for the signals of the accelerator pedal.
