The invention discloses a method for automatically acquiring a network topology. The method comprises the steps of S01, scanning a configured network, S02, analyzing the configured network, S03, searching for a secondary switch and equipment, S04, building an edge relationship, S05, constructing a network topology relationship and storing the network topology relationship to a graph database and S06, reading and displaying the network topology in the graph database. According to the actual operation condition of a network, the network topology relationship is automatically found, so that the consistency of the network topology relationship and an actual network structure is ensured, the equipment which cannot be managed in the network is automatically found through a route tracing algorithm and an SNMP, so that the integrity of the network topology relationship is ensured, and in addition, the formed network topology relationship is stored in the graph database, when the actual operation network structure is changed, the newest topology relationship is timely updated through automatic scanning.
