Produção agroecológica dos agricultores familiares da feira coberta, Nova Xavantina-MT

The present work had as objective to raise and to report the experiences of agroecologicalproduction of the family farmers who commercialize their products in the covered fair of themunicipality of Nova Xavantina - MT. A total of six farm were surveyed to carry out this type ofdifferentiated production. The instruments used in data collection consisted of questionnaires,direct observation and interviews. Can be verified that the covered fair is an important space ofcoexistence, commerce and consumption, nevertheless, still this place is little appreciated bythe population and producers. The lack of infrastructure and the rigidity of the inspection do notbring attractiveness to the diverse family farmers of the municipality and this reflects directlyin the commercialization and acquisition of agroecological products of the familiar agriculture.Public policies focused on production, consumption and marketing are essential for a greaterinsertion of family farmers in the municipality of Nova Xavantina and in the region.
