On Extending ACI 318 to High-Strength Concrete

The aim of this paper is to investigate the applicability of ACI 318-95 Building Code provisions (1) to high-strength concrete (HSC). In particular, three of the most widely used design processes are treated here: flexural and shear design of shallow beams and design of columns subjected to axial loads.
