Effect of Plant Growth Regulators, Decapitation and their Combination on Lateral Shoots Development for Vegetative Propagation in Papaya (Carica papaya) var. Vinayak.

An investigation to study the Effect of Plant Growth Regulators, Decapitation and their Combination on Lateral Shoots Development for Vegetative Propagation in Papaya (Carica papaya) var. Vinayak was carried out during March - October 2017 at Fruit Research Farm, Department of Fruit Science, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Central Agricultural University, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with 10 treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were T1 (Decapitation), T2 {Decapitation + (500 ppm BAP + 500 ppm GA) spray}, T3 {Decapitation + (500 ppm BAP + 500 ppm GA) injection}, T4 {Decapitation + (500 ppm BAP + 100 ppm GA) spray}, T5 {Decapitation + (500 ppm BAP + 100 ppm GA) injection}, T6 {(500 ppm BAP + 500 ppm GA) spray}, T7 {(500 ppm BAP + 500 ppm GA) injection}, T8 {(500 ppm BAP + 100 ppm GA) spray}, T9 {(500 ppm BAP + 100 ppm GA) injection}, T10 (Control).
