The correlation between oxLDL -.BETA.2GP I complex and severity of coronary artery disease

2011
Objective To investigate the serum oxLDL-β2GPⅠ complex concentrations in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD) and the correlation between oxLDL-β2GPⅠ complex and severity of coronary artery disease. Methods The concentration of oxLDL-β2GPⅠ complex was measured in 210 CAD patients and 180 healthy controls by ELISA.Results The serum oxLDL-β2GP Ⅰ complex levels were(1.91±0.76)U/mL,(2.27±0.93)U/mL,(4.65±1.28)U/mL and(8.04±3.12)U/mL in mild, moderate, severe and extremely severe CAD groups, respectively, with significant increase comparing with that in control group. The serum oxLDL-β2GPⅠ complex level in CAD patients was significantly positively correlated with severity of coronary artery stenosis(r=0.387,P0.05).Conclusion Serum oxLDL-β2GPⅠ complex level reflects the severity of CAD and can be used for assessing the severity of CAD.
