Application value of air-fluidized bed in treatment of severe burn patients

Objective: To investigate the application value of air-fluidized bed in treatment of severe burn patients.Methods: After debridement 30 patients with severe burn lying on common sickbed(common sickbed group) and 30 patients with severe burn lying on air-fluidized bed(air-fluidized bed group) were chosen randomdly.The scabbing time,concrescence time,burn wound infection and sheet bacterial content were compared between the two groups.Results: Scabbing time and concrescence time in common sickbed group were(164.8±4.54) h and(55.17±0.88) d respectively,and those in air-fluidized bed group were(84.67±3.11) h and(28.62±0.58) d respectively.The differences had statistical significance(P0.01).Positive rate of bacterial culture was 43.3% in common sickbed gruop,which was much higher than that(16.7%) in air-fluidized bed group(P0.01).Conclusions: Application of air-fluidized bed could effectively protect burn wound,and relieve the suffering of severe burn patients,and cut down difficulty of nursing.Consequently,it has positive value in treatment severe burn patients.
