Calculation of the coefficients of reflection and transmission of a plane electromagnetic wave for an inhomogeneous gyrotropic layer by the finite-difference method

The numerical-analytical solution to the problem of diffraction of a plane monochromatic wave by a layered-inhomogeneous anisotropic plate with an arbitrary orientation of the optical axis is constructed. Compact scalar representations for the amplitudes of the electromagnetic field, as well as the corresponding problem for scalar potentials in the form of two coupled differential equations, are obtained. The numerical solution of the system is obtained by the finite-difference method. The influence of the inhomogeneity and anisotropy of the layer on its scattering properties is shown.
