Multiple switching patterns for three-level SHEPWM inverter using STM32F4 microcontroller
2017
This paper presents the application of a multiple switching pattern selective harmonic elimination on three level inverter. The aim of this work is to eliminate low rank harmonics (3 rd , 5 th , 7 th and 9 th ) from an AC voltage waveform generated by DC to AC converter and also control the fundamental component, the modulation algorithm is based on the Newton-Raphson method which is one of the simplest root-finding methods. The converter chosen in this study is a simple H-bridge inverter that can be used as a three level inverter. A small scale three level inverter prototype is built to validate simulation results and prove the theoretical predictions; the prototype is controlled by a high performance low cost STM32F407 microcontroller.
