Towards nature-inspired machine-learning approach for cyber security

This chapter provides an insight into bio-inspired techniques that applied the problems of machine learning and features extraction in the area of cyber security. We focus on the fundamental aspects of the intelligent systems, namely how relevant information can be extracted in order to build the knowledge and how then knowledge could be maintained and represented to solve various cyber security problems. Moreover, we give some practical examples of application and quantitative results to give the reader evidence of the usefulness of the presented algorithms.
