Device for moving one part of a piece of furniture relative to another

The device has two gearwheels (2, 3) that are placed at a distance from each other. A connecting medium is provided between the gearwheels for coupling the gearwheels with each other and for a common rotary movement of the gearwheels. The connecting medium comprises a telescopable connecting shaft with adjustment bushes (7, 8), where each bush is provided for taking up an adjustment at a given distance of the gearwheels. The bush includes a cover unit, which is attached at a part of the connecting shaft and/or the gearwheels. An independent claim is also included for furniture with a furniture piece that is movable relative to another furniture piece.
