Application of galvanizing to engineering problems

The object of this paper is to provide engineers with a useful working knowledge of the process of galvanizing and to provide them with information on expected life, quality control and design to give the basis for specifying and receiving high-quality finished products. The paper does not attempt to go into the detailed metallurgical and chemical theories of galvanizing nor to give more than a brief outline of the general process. It does, however, define the present position of galvanizing and its relation to other types of protective coating.
