Factors involved in the change of gingival margin position after periodontal surgery

One purpose of periodontal surgery is to restore the appearance and function of teeth. The postoperative gingival recession not only affects the appearance,but also results in sensitive teeth and food impaction. How to reduce gingival recession is a clinical concern. In this reviw,the factors which influence the change of gingival margin position after periodontal surgery are discussed.
