Control Algorithm Design and Simulation for Adaptive Optics System

The control algorithms for adaptive optics system are studied.Based on the analysis of the physical characteristics of each module of the adaptive optics system,the global mathematic model is established first.Aimed at the deficiency of the traditional approximate method for analyzing systems with pure delay,the paper gives a direct method to calculate the magnitude and phase analytical function to analyze the system.Three control algorithms such as the classical integrator controller,proportional-integrator controller and Smith controller are compared in respect of several aspects including open-loop character,closed-loop character,error suppressing bandwidth,and high-frequency noise suppression character etc.It is demonstrated that the smith controller displays the better control effects for adaptive optics systems.
