Addition of ethylene chlorohydrin toα-methylvinyl phenyl ether

1. The reaction ofα-methylvinyl phenyl ether with ethylene chlorohydrin was studied. 2. An indirect method was developed for the synthesis of the diphenyl ketal of acetone fromα-methylvinyl phenyl ether and ethylene chlorohydrin.
