Evaluación microbiológica preliminar de plantas de la flora cubana en Granma. Preliminary microbiological assessment of plants of the cuban flora in Granma.

2012
To obtain that the Cuban population has strictly studied phytopharmaceuticals has been the goal of many researchers. For this reason, the present study evaluated the antimicrobial in Vitro activity of tinctures obtained from plant species: Jatropha aethiopica Muell arg., Pteris vittata l., l. and cylindrical Luffa Turnera ulmifolia l., with the aim of establishing patterns of minimum inhibitory concentration, minimum microcid concentration and microcid or microstatic behavior of them towards the S. aureus ATCC 25923 control stock. The results obtained evidenced that tinctures from leaves of Pteris vittata L and the elaborated from the fruit of Luffa cylindrical L developed a better inhibitory activity against this strain. Pteris vittata L and Luffa cylindrical L developed its activity to the 3,125% obtained tincture. On the other hand Pteris vittata, carried out a microcid action while Luffa cylindrical performed a microstatic way. Subject heading: MEDICINAL PLANTS; PHYTOTHERAPY
