It has been interesting exercise to go through the events of the past year. At the AGM a year ago, Dries van Zyl addressed us on "South African Weather And Atmospheric Phenomena". His photographs of highveld lightning were memorable. In August the long title of the talk was "Archaeoastronomical Aspects of the Great Zimbabwe/Mapungubwe Cultural Complex", presented provocatively by Richard Wade.
