The method comprises the following steps of: acquiring the preset initial state information of a breath light image, wherein the initial state information comprises the position information of the breath light image and the current configuration information of organic light emitting diodes in each pixel of the breath light image; acquiring preset current adjustment ratio information; and driving the organic light emitting diode display screen to display the breath light image according to the initial state information of the breath light image, and adjusting the luminance of the breath light image according to the current adjustment ratio information. Correspondingly, the embodiment of the invention also discloses the mobile terminal. Through the embodiment of the invention, the breath light can be realized by utilizing the organic light emitting diode display screen commonly used at present, so the volume of the mobile terminal can be reduced and the production cost is reduced.
