A Case of Idiopathic Scrotal Calcinosis

2010
An otherwise healthy 34-year-old man presented with multiple asymptomatic yellowish papules and nodules restricted to the scrotum for 5 years. Histological examination of a papule on the scrotum revealed acanthosis,a large amorphous, basophilic material within a cyst which located in the dermis. The cyst was surrounded by some lymphocytes and histiocytes. There was no basket weave or laminated keratosis in the cyst.No foreign body giant cells or masses of basaloid cells were noted in the dermis. We established the diagnosis of idiopathic scrotal calcinosis(ISC) in the patient.
