Analysis of Bearing Capacity of Jacked PHC Pipe Piles in Double-Layered Ground Based on Data Mining

In this paper two data-mining technologies based on different calculation principles are used to evaluate correlation between ultimate bearing capacity of jacked PHC pipe pile and its impact factors from geological investigation, pile foundation construction and in situ static load test. Major factors closely related to bearing capacity are determined and regression equation for predicting ultimate bearing capacity is derived. The result shows that data-mining technology has very attractive capabilities to carry out relevance analysis for bearing behavior of single pile. In double-layered ground as Shenyang city, ultimate bearing capacity of PHC pipe pile is mainly provided by pile tip resistance and closely related to final pressure in pile construction. The method presented can be used to evaluate ultimate bearing capacity of PHC pipe pile in similar ground and the accuracy can fill the requirements in practice.
