Stripping into unbound states: Interference between resonant and continuum states

Abstract Proton spectra from the 15 N(d, p) reaction leading to unbound states of 16 N are presented. A resonance at 5.05 MeV in 16 N interferes destructively with the continuum. The proton spectra look remarkably similar to the corresponding 15 N(n, n) total cross section.
