EVALUACIÓN DEL USO DE UN SIMULADOR VIRTUAL DE TECNOLOGÍAS DE REDES MÓVILES (EVALUATION OF THE USE OF A VIRTUAL SIMULATOR OF MOBILE NETWORK TECHNOLOGIES)

Resumen El presente articulo es un resumen de los resultados de investigacion y desarrollo tecnologico con fines educativos para elaborar una propuesta de implementacion de un laboratorio virtual de tecnologias de redes moviles y sus prestaciones de Calidad del Servicio como una alternativa al uso de los costosos y a veces inexistentes laboratorios fisicos de redes de datos. A nivel de Educacion Superior, el modelo de ensenanza tradicional se caracteriza por ser transmisor de conocimientos y memoristica, donde el profesor es la base del exito educativo y el estudiante un ente pasivo carente de capacidades criticas y de razonamiento, asi advierten, tanto los resultados del diagnostico inicial aplicado a docentes y estudiantes sobre la metodologia y la insercion de las TIC´s dentro del proceso ensenanza aprendizaje, como los reportes de las experiencias que los estudiantes realizan periodicamente a sus profesores. Abstract This paper is a brief summary of the results of research and technological development for educational purposes to make a proposal for the implementation of a virtual Laboratory of Mobile Network Technologies and its performance of Quality of Service as an alternative to the use of expensive and sometimes non-existent physical laboratories of data networks. At the Universitys, the traditional teaching model is characterized by being a transmitter of knowledge, where the teacher is the basis of educational success and the student a passive entity lacking in critical abilities and reasoning, thus warn both the results of the initial diagnosis applied to teachers and students on the methodology and insertion of information technologies and Communicatons within the teaching-learning process, such as the reports of the experiences that students periodically perform on their teachers.
