Message transmission method and equipment

The invention discloses a message transmission method and message transmission equipment. The method comprises the following steps that: load balancing equipment receives a request message from a dynamic host configuration protocol (DHCP) client, and transmits the request message to a target DHCP server by utilizing a unique identifier of the target DHCP server if the request message carries the unique identifier of the target DHCP server; and the load balancing equipment receives a response message from the target DHCP server, adds the unique identifier of the target DHCP server into the response message, and transmits the response message to the DHCP client. According to the message transmission method and the message transmission equipment, the processing capability of the load balancing equipment can be improved, network extensibility can be improved, and a small memory of the load balancing equipment can be occupied.
