Successful management of hospital nutrition requires an interdisciplinary team approach and a strong leadership that fosters open communication between disciplines. Moreover, all members of the health team must understand the relevance of nutritional care in improving patient prognosis and financial return.   The interdisciplinary team must be articulated and trained in order to provide the best treatment, prognosis, monitoring and evaluation options according to each patient’s clinical picture.
