Triboelectrification in non-condensed phases and some aspects of our national energy policy

1980
This article is a corollary to author's previous work on triboelectrification in condensed phases. Findings are in agreement with a large body of scientific literature on air ion. Negative ions have essential role in human well-being and performance, yet drastic imbalances can occur in closed edifices and conveyances. The situation is worsened as energy saving measures cut down inflow of outside air. To establish indoor air quality standards including ion contact and ion ratio should be part of the long range national energy policy.
