Fission widths and areas of low-lying resonances in {sup 237}Np

1994
The fission widths of {Gamma}{sub f} and areas {sigma}{sub 0}{Gamma}{sub f} under 27 resonances of {sup 237}Np were measured on the pulsed IBR-30 reactor using the time-of-flight technique. The measurements were carried out for neutron energies ranging from 3 to 50 eV. Comparison of the {sigma}{sub 0}{Gamma}{sub f} and {Gamma}{sub f} values with data from other works and analysis of possible systematic errors show that the Saclay and Geel data are underestimated approximately by factors of 3 and 1.5, respectively. On the average, the Dubna and Los Alamos {Gamma}{sub f} values agree with each other within the limits of 15%. 20 refs., 5 figs., 4 tabs.
