Detection of Magnetic-Flux Sources by a System of Perfect Diamagnetic Substance and Magnetic Sensor.

1992
In this paper, the authors propose a new method for selective detection of magnetic-flux sources: i.e., current dipoles or magnetic dipoles, by a combined system of perfect diamagntic substance and a magnetic sensor. A good electric conductor such as copper behaves as a diamagnetic substance in highfrequency alternative magnetic fields in consequence of eddy currents induced on its surface. Experiments were carried out with high-frequency source dipoles and copper devices. It was proved that the method is very useful for selective and direct detection of magnetic flux sources.
