Brushless direct current motor having function of sensing position of RFID rotor magnet

2009
The present invention relates to a brushless DC motor having a rotor magnet RFID position sensing, discloses a brushless DC motor having a rotor, the rotor having a plurality of magnets fixed to the mounting surface. Each magnet has a magnet secured to the surface of the RFID tag, wherein each RFID tag stores a unique identification character to identify the magnet. A stator having a plurality of pole teeth separated by grooves, each of the power coils is wound around the pole teeth. A plurality of RFID interrogation antenna mounted adjacent pole teeth. The RFID reader generates interrogation rf signal, which is broadcast by the antenna to the RFID tag. When the tag enters the region of the pole teeth, whenever the sensed interrogation signal, RFID tags respond to the unique identification character by a broadcast. This position of the magnet and the identification signals are received by an RFID reader, an RFID reader processes the information and sends to the motor controller and the drive unit, which provides operating power to respective power coil. These coils are connected in a conventional configuration of a star, or connected to a power source, to provide an improved motor commutation control. After assembly, by the motor operating in generator mode, emf detected power generated by the coil, and a driving signal generating power compensation parameter to change the alignment of the machine to a coil, to eliminate mechanical, magnetic irregularities.
