Design of a Microstrip Antenna Array with Low Side-Lobe for 24GHz Radar Sensors

A micro-strip antenna array with low side-lobe is designed for 24GHz radar sensors in this paper. The proposed microstrip antenna array is fed by a series feed network which can reduce interference of feed network and realize miniaturization of antenna on basis of satisfying requirement of each element of antenna array excited by the unequal amplitude. This paper will detail design of feed network and the isolation structure to optimize radiation pattern of the antenna array. The simulation results show the side-lobe level of the antenna array is -26.5dB.
