Applications of high energy X-ray lasers in plasma probing and warm dense matter generation

We report on the use of high energy X-ray laser at 21 nm in novel applications relevant to dense plasma physics. Our recent results include e.g. high resolution plasma backlighting and production of warm dense matter.
