Extracellular space of normal peripheral nerve and normal skin as measured by radioactive sulfate in the chicken

Abstract The extracellular space of chicken sciatic nerve as measured by radioactive Sulfate is 39.4 mg of fluid/100 mg of fresh nerve while that of skin is 70.6 mg of fluid/100 mg of fresh skin. There appears to be a considerable difference between the sulfate space of these two tissues.
