The invention discloses an aluminium plastic film and a packaging method for a polymer lithium ion battery. The aluminium plastic film comprises a battery pit; a groove part, which is not connected with the battery pit, is arranged on the aluminium plastic film. Through the scheme, the aluminium plastic film and the packaging method overcome the defect in the prior art that during aluminium plastic film packaging, the aluminium plastic films are susceptible to sticking to each other in the thermal radiation zone, so that the sizes of air bags to shrink; through battery packaging adopting the method, the consumption of aluminium plastic film can be reduced.
